Stop the Insanity

In what should make for an interesting Father's Day next month, Desmond Hatchett, is asking the court system in Knoxville, TN to suspend his child support payments. From what I understand, requests to modify child support judgements aren't uncommon but what makes this story so UNIQUE/MESSY is that Mr. Hatchett has fathered 30 children with 11 different women.

Yes. You read that correctly. 30 CHILDREN WITH 11 DIFFERENT WOMEN! Does he not have a television? Is making babies his only hobby?

Hatchett is currently required to divide 50% of the earnings from his minimum-wage job among the 11 women, some of whom end up only receiving $1.49 a month. He holds the record in Knox County  for  fathering the most children and is quite the celebrity. In 2009, when being interviewed, he explained how he had so many children. "I had four kids in the same year. TWICE." At that time, the count was at 21 and he said he wouldn't be having any more. So much for that.
